Freddy’s first Jackson-area location opens in Flowood

FLOWOOD, Miss. – Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers®, a fast-casual restaurant concept, opens Saturday, August 31, at 421 W Pineview Dr. The new restaurant marks the brand’s first location in the Jackson metro area, and the third in the state of Mississippi. Freddy’s is known for its cooked-to-order steakburgers made with lean 100 percent ground beef, all-beef hot dogs, crispy shoestring fries and frozen custard treats made with freshly churned chocolate or vanilla frozen custard.

“We feel thrilled to bring the Freddy’s experience to this new community,” said Dave Giesen, franchise owner. “We look forward to being a convenient dining option for those who live and work in the area, as well as for guests traveling along the highway. Our commitment to high-quality, cooked-to-order food and genuine hospitality will make this restaurant a destination for families and friends who want to enjoy fresh, hot meals and classic dessert treats in a comfortable atmosphere.”

The 2,549 square-foot, freestanding restaurant seats 74 guests, has additional seating on the patio and offers drive-thru service. Mobile ordering through the Freddy’s app and website is also available. Hours of operation are 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

“First-time guests often ask, ‘What makes a Freddy’s steakburger special?’,” said Giesen. “We start with lean 100 percent ground beef, sprinkle on our famous seasoning, press the patty thin and sear on a flat-top grill until the edges are deliciously crispy. We regularly recommend the Original Double, which comes standard with two patties, two slices of cheese, mustard, onion slices and pickle planks.”
