Freddy's in Machesney Park opens Tuesday

MACHESNEY PARK, Ill. – Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers®, a fast-casual restaurant concept, opens Tuesday, April 12, at 9901 Orlando St. near Machesney Crossing. The opening marks the first Freddy’s location in the Rockford metro area. Freddy’s is known for its cooked-to-order steakburgers made with lean 100 percent ground beef, Vienna® Beef hot dogs, crispy shoestring fries and frozen custard treats made with freshly churned chocolate or vanilla frozen custard.

“We enjoy informing first-time Freddy’s guests about our menu and concept,” said Eric Cole, franchise owner. “And then, when they begin to frequent Freddy’s, we go from remembering faces to remembering orders; it’s a personal touch that our guests truly value. We’re delighted to join the community of Machesney Park and appreciate the excitement surrounding our opening.”

The 2,759 square-foot, freestanding restaurant seats 106 Guests and has additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service is also available. Hours of operation are 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

“For our first-time guests, we like to recommend the fan-favorite Original Double combo meal,” said Cole. “The burger comes with two steakburger patties pressed thin on a flat top grill and sprinkled with our famous seasoning. It’s then topped with cheese, mustard, pickle planks and onion slices on a toasted bun, and served alongside our crispy shoestring fries and a drink.”
